Jerry Esh
If it moves, shoot it; if it doesn't, shoot it anyway.
Although I had an interest in photography during my high school years, my passion was rekindled in the summer of 2009. My wife and daughter sent me on a workshop with Steve Shoemaker in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We spent several hours with a sow and her cubs and I was hooked. Since then I have worked at learning all I can to make my experience in photography even more enjoyable.
My primary photographic love is shooting critters in the great outdoors. I marvel at the beauty of God's creation and love spending time up close and personal with the animals He created (except for maybe snakes). Although the outdoors is my "heaven on earth" I am looking forward to the day when I will join Him in heaven, along with my son and others who have gone before. It gives me great joy to be a "follower of Jesus"!
In the efforts to increase my knowledge of the craft I have attempted to photograph subjects other than critters. You will find some of that practice in the galleries as well. My hope is that others will be amazed at the world our God has created for us to enjoy.
"How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures."
Psalm 104:24
